The prompt for this project was to create a brand that was inspired by the history of Baltimore. After researching Baltimore’s rich history, I found that there was a large German population in Baltimore during the early to mid 1800s. I based my narrative around a fictitious German family, The Möllers, who immigrated to Baltimore and started a candy business in Fells Point. The logo is a modified version of Avenir, which translates to “future”. I thought this was fitting for the brand as they would be creating a future life and business legacy in Baltimore. The pattern stems from the umlaut in the Möller name.
